That's as close as I could get because of a fence and I do not know the homeowners. I really didn't think Kumquat because I grew up with them and ours never looked like that. I guess it's certainly possible-these people had another tree that was a lemon or lime.

From the color of the fruit near the top of the tree, it look like Jujubee, sometimes referred to as Chinese Date. Not commonly grown around here, but I have one in my backyard. Number of different varieties. Cold tolerant for Louisiana. LINK, also see this link see page 5

Agree with CrawDude…..I know a guy in Marksville that has one of those trees andd he calls it a JuJu tree. Of course he has a French accent when he says it!

Looks just like the tree behind The Francis restaurant. I was wondering what it was the other evening while dining on the outdoor deck. Now I know.
