Im looking to buy a Semi auto 22 with threads to add a suppressor. I think the ruger 10/22 appears to be the best option. Any other suitable options?

10/22 is always the answer when it comes to semi auto 22 rifles. My favorite setup is a Bergera BXR Carbon with a Q erector. So light.

Someone should start a suppressor thread that's sticked. It's gonna be needed with 2026 right around the corner.

The 10/22 is the standard for sure.

Another to consider strongly is the S&W MP15-22.
It's a great little gun. Accurate and reliable.

I can tell you which one NOT to get.
Do not buy the Mossberg 715T
It is the Tactical AR style Plinkster
It is hot garbage, doesn't cycle for shite, stovepipes every 3rd or 4th round.

I wish I had spent the extra $100 and bought the S&W, and soon will.

that format has so many aftermarket options its stupid. Our guide on an alligator hunt last year had one for the boat with a cheap vortex. I was surprised how accurate it was.

ETA: you can literally build a 10/22 from aftermarket parts without touching anything Ruger branded.

10/22

Some of them only come with synthetic stocks now. But you can hop on ebay and get a wood stock real cheap and you end up with a really nice feeling threaded gun.

Ruger charger, with added brace. Fun little gun. Comes threaded, btw.

Team Ruger on this one.
Semi auto rifle: I've got 2 10/22's, one of which is suppressed. Can't go wrong w/ a 10/22.

Semi auto handgun: The first gun I bought w/ a threaded barrel was a Ruger 22/45 Lite. It's a good one. Just don't take it apart.

I’m no expert but I got the M&P 22 and put a Resilient-Jessie’s girl 22 suppressor on the end and an Sig Romeo red dot on top. It been super accurate and haven’t had a misfeed/jam yet, even on subsonics.
It triple tapped a skunk in the back yard a few weeks ago before he could get up under my shed.

What are the wait times now and what will they be when everyone rushes to buy one once the tax stamp fee is removed?

Just get a 10/22 and upgrade what you want, Kidd, Volquartsen.. plenty of aftermarket stuff out there, basically the AR-15 of the .22 world.
