Every liberal legislator in Cali should face accessory to manslaughter charges.

Whoever issued his CDL (Washington & California) are culpable in whatever they charge the driver with. Should be sued for BILLIONS. There has to be accountability.

At the risk of "taking advantage of a tragedy" - this needs to be used to hurt California and Gavin Newsom.

What carrier was he driving for? Hope they have deep pockets. The victims families are gonna own a trucking company.

Can you safely drive an 80,000 lbs rig, Ahkmed?

Durka durka!

Here's your CA license. Happy trucking!

The one video I saw earlier looked like he was driving an automatic.

Just another way to throw anyone into a tractor trailer.

Yeah, that info just gave a legal pathway for those families to sue the frick out of state, and probably federal, governments.

Big trouble whoever issued that license after a failed fricking exam!!

Chances are the owner of the "carrier" speaks as much English as he does.

White Hawk Carriers Inc out of Ceres, CA. Looks like it was a small company with only 8 trucks total listed. I'd read their insurance has dropped them and their Motor Carrier Authority revoked.

I'm in the industry and it's a huge problem with drivers speaking little to no English.

W was pushing something where Mexican truckers would be able to drive all over the U.S. and Canada in their rigs with Mexican licensing.

Luckily it never got through.

Sue the owners of the cargo that was in the truck for hiring an unqualified carrier. That would stiffen compliance

I'd bet $20,000 of my own money that a lawsuit is already in progress, if it hasn't already been drafted.

Isn't their governor touting how he's going to flout the federal government's attempt to police this shite and still hand out commercial driving licenses to people like this?

Is that for real, or is that just another troll of his that silly MAGA people don't "get"?

There are youtubers who drive tractor trailers and video it all for youtube.

I was surprised at how many use automatic transmissions on those rigs. I didn't know autos even existed. I thought those trucks had like complicated 24 gears or something...

They'll probably get wrapped up in the lawsuit but more than likely they have zero clue who's hauling their freight, highly likely this freight was handled by a broker and it was brokered to White Hawk. Hell a huge problem in this industry is double/triple brokering where Company A books the load, then rebrokers it to Company B, and I've seen where Company B brokers it to company C.
