Per Matthew Brune
quote:

Chester is walking a thin line and is at risk of losing his job to Mubenga or Echols in the coming weeks.

Personally, I trust Brad Davis to get a grip on these guys and provide a wake up call where needed.

really seems like they have been trying to give him every opportunity to lock in a spot due to his starting experience he just won't take it. It seems time to move on and let him be an experienced depth piece. expect him to probably transfer to ULL or somewhere after this year.

I’m on the Echols train, think he’s the best talent and he gives us the best opportunity. Obviously I’m not there every day and the coaches know best but that’s my opinion.

I was wondering when last week it was mentioned that Echols was getting reps at LG. That made me think Thompson had locked down the RG spot and they were trying to get the best 5 on the field.

I really dont understand what they might be hanging onto with Chester, he was terrible all last season at center, try him at guard, sure i get it; but just about every write up on him through the fall has been negative. Just go ahead and get the better guys the reps now and not learning on the job in 2 weeks against the best DLine they will face all season.

Tigerdroppings never ceases to amaze me

So, if the following is true:
quote:

I’m not there every day

How on earth did you arrive at this conclusion:
quote:

I’m on the Echols train, think he’s the best talent

Is he your nephew or something?

Mubenga is super soft, LSU can’t afford to have him being blown back into Nuss’ lap again like last year.

No it’s because we aren’t blind and know Chester is arse and gets his shite pushed in 80% of the time. That’s why Echols needs a shot

Are there huge differences between RG and LG. I always played in the backfield, so it is not a position group that I have a really in-depth knowledge of.

Does this surprise anyone? Chester never goes get anything and has no business on the team.

Dude is not SEC material, time to cut bait.

I am too, although I don't really have much to base it off of at this moment except the last year from Mubenga and Chester. Thats not to say they can't be better than last year, I hope they are, but there doesn't seem to be too much praise for either of them. They just seem like they're in the spot they are because of experience. I just dont want the line to take 8 weeks to catch up to the rest of the team.

There's still a need to have Chester develop into the best player that he can be just in case of injury during the season & he is forced to play.

Everyone is rotating & getting plenty of reps. No one is being neglected there.
