is he will be hosting himself (sticking it to the Hollywood insiders). That will be a fun night, not the usual stuffy, boring event.

The man was born for this.

Who would've thought 50 years ago that one day KISS would be honored by the president of the United States? It's amazing how society changes over time.

he didn't want to host but Susie told him he better and he said he listens to Susie.
He turned around the shite show that the Kennedy Center Honors had become.
I wish he would have also nominated John Rich. But good job.
Maybe John was already nominated?

I agree... especially with KISS. But there is precedent.
One of my favorite events Barry and Big Mike attended (w/ other sleezeballs) -- Heart - Stairway to Heaven Led Zeppelin - Kennedy Center Honors HD. Only 200 million views.

Says George Strait also, so King George would definitely get the nod before John Rich, and I think Rich would 100% agree with that.

Crawford and Gloria Gaynor will be pressured to skip it even though I'm sure their attendance was agreed upon before the announcement.
George, Stallone and KISS all lean right so they'll be there. I wonder if CBS will televise it as they normally do.

The Zeppelin tribute was amazing.

It is almost certainly the greatest live tribute/cover to be performed in front of the actual honorees themselves that will ever be. Usually, great tributes don't happen until after the artist passes. There was a little taste during Ozzy's induction to the Rock HOF (as an individual artist) last year and the farewell shows this year, but nothing like the Heart (and friends) tribute to Led Zeppelin.
Certainly nothing like that ever happened or will happen again with popular music.

Isn't Gene Simmons one of the more serious cases of TDS-Joo?

That year that Heart attempted to honor Zeppelin was really cringe and embarrassing.

Is this becoming our new knighting or is that the presidential medal thing.
That being said KISS rocks and Stallone is great.
