Lighted nocks

I still have trouble finding my crossbow arrows even with lighted nocks. Curious if anyone knows if they are easily detectable with a thermal device? I need to hit the target more i suppose but when 450 ft per sec arrow misses, it can get expensive.

You looking in your yard or after a shot on animal? You know you line of shot. Start behind target with cheap metal detector. The field tip will beep.

Was at 50 and 75yds. I am adjusting my angle, gonna set up higher and shoot more downward at the target.
As far as the going back at night..the range is closed at dark.
I’ll test my thermal question and report back.

They are probably buried in the ground for the most part and covered with a debris, it doesn't take much for an arrow to get very well hidden.
Im not trying to be a jerk but if you are missing your targets this often you need to shoot at shorter ranges of larger targets.

I'm 50/50 on whether this is a troll post, but:
1. They're called bolts
2. The led on the nocks probably won't show up on thermal
3. If you are shooting a crossbow from elevation, those bolts are probably buried
4. I have no idea how you are not getting tight arse groups on your intended target from that range with a crossbow, but if that's the case you need to start over from 20. Screw changing angles and elevation bc you're not ready to hunt anyway.

In all seriousness hitting the target at 50yds with a modern crossbow should be a chip shot.

Yeah, i get the downvotes and the ridicule. My age damaged elbows and shoulders prevent efficient compound bow use. It was maddenning last year.. my first year with the ten point 440 with the oracle scope (electronic). Had a long learning curve trying to set up the oracle scope (do not recommend). During the process i lost a few bolts. Wasnt at my place but at someone elses where i didnt have unfettered access to go with a metal

Man was just teasing ya a bit. I’ll be in that boat one day too. My shoulder isn’t the best(had major shoulder surgery a few years ago) but I refuse to give in yet with my compound bow
Once you get that scope dialed in you’ll be deadly with it. Just keep practicing at 50 and when he walks out at 35 his arse will be grass.

I would recommend putting the target in front of the broad side of a barn, but I'm not sure it would help
