Who produced a better baseball card in the early 90’s, Topps Stadium Club or Upper Deck?

Those two were top tier. I liked Leaf as well. Bowman, Score and Pinnacle weren’t as great of quality as far as I can remember.
Fleer and Donruss for some reason wasn’t as popular with me.

Upper Deck, IMO. They were the first real premium card that followed Topps ,Donruss, and Fleer.
Topps Stadium club was the evidence that the industry was headed toward imploding. I knew that then.

Upper Deck was definitely the one that went to the better product that is still in play today, it was the year Ken Griffey Jr was a rookie
Topps, Donruss and Fleer were really hard to keep in mint condition and it was more cheaper paper product

What are the odds that those early 2000 jersey cards are actually from game worn jerseys like they say?

SC were MUCH harder to come by and it wasn’t even close. I can remember boxes going for $200+, which was insane at that time.

I still have some unopened Upper Deck complete sets. I think 89-93. Nothing from that era is really worth a ton outside of a couple of error cards. UD was the better card.

I liked the graphics from Donruss (Rated Rookie was sick back in the day) but upper deck was clearly #1.
Fleer were cheap. Absolutely nothing special about them.

a young dr worm collected so many ugly 91 fleers just to get the pro vision cards that had cool artwork

Pinnacle had some pretty rad specialty cards though

Upper Deck but as a kid I was a sucker for Stadium Club. They had a premium aura about them.

I've gotten back into collecting again. Going after late 80s/early 90s Topps sets, but to answer your question, I'd say Upper Deck.
Those glossy cards like TSC have often stuck together in packs I've bought. Upper Deck, not so much. The only issue with Topps from the 80s I've come across was the gum stuck to the card at the bottom leaving a mark.

Bowman too. They are slightly larger than the rest of them which was a pain in the arse of you organized you cards by team and year which is what I did.
