All useless franchises doing nothing but diluting talent and wasting time.

Go back to two divisions of six in each league

The rangers won a title two years ago and the diamondbacks played them for it.

And you leave off the other two/three clowns that have been doing this shite in the white Sox, Rockies, and Angels.

Cmon man.

Yup. And Cleveland is actually one of the best-run small market teams out there. I’m not a fan of the owner, but that franchise has done more with less for a while now.

Marlins have more world series titles than pretty much everybody since their inaugural season.

Yea I can find something wrong with everyone on here but the pirates and marlins in terms of ownership caring about wining.

Hell even the A’s are trying to do something with this Vegas move as misguided as it may be (in my opinion anyway but I’m also not a billionaire so what the hell do I know)

Indians are one of the winningest teams in all of MLB since 2000….

I’m interested in the contraction talk, but my bottom tier is something like:
-Mariners. Isolated, forgettable, rarely competitive
-Rockies. Baseball at altitude has failed. Add Mex city, and Utah to the altitude ban list
-blue jays. No American wants to play in Canada.
-White Sox. We don’t need 2 shite baseball teams in the Windy City
-marlins. Tried and failed. Even the new stadium didn’t move the needle
-As. Ownership so bad MLB is criminally negligent

Indians regularly go to playoffs and they were a rain delay from winning the World Series less than 10 years ago, made ALCS a year ago. Rangers won World Series in 2023, against the Diamondbacks!

This whole site has so many bad posters. We need an IQ test to qualify to post here.

A fluke title that should be thought about along the lines of Covid championships.

I won’t be surprised if we find out in the coming years that record companies were paying off umps in the interest of selling more creed albums during that playoff run.

They were certainly paying for the steroids and adderall that fueled adolis garcia.

No teams in the MLB, nfl, nhl, or nba are ever going to be folded, this is a pointless discussion.

There needs to be more teams in the South and fewer in the North. Travel ballers love MLB.

Let’s discuss:

Diamondbacks: Wtf? They just went to the WS and they spend money every offseason.

Rangers: They spend, WS champs 2 years ago

A’s: Long standing history, great young nucleus, maybe Vegas helps?

Pirates: They’ve needed a new owner for a long time, one of the most beautiful ballparks you’ll ever see.

Indians: Do the most with less consistently.

Marlins: They’ve just made awful uniform and stadium choices.

Many of us are old enough to remember the folding of at least 4 franchises-- the Utah Stars, Kentucky Colonels, Virginia Spirits, and St. Louis Squires-- and the relocations of a dozen more.

These leagues are one bad contract away from facing the same challenges, particularly if lower cost or well financed competition comes along.

Using this logic, why not contract the Astros; they're a useless organization, despite winning titles recently, and Texas won a title more recently than Houston, while clapping them out the playoffs in 2023.

#shouldakeptdusty

I would only argue to contract the Marlins and Rays because the fans in Florida could not care less.
