Worst draft pick of the loomis era

Isaiah foskey- and it is not close.
2nd round pick, 0.5 sacks in 2 years. Played well into the 4th Q of the first pre season game under a new DC.
We have crucified kendre miller for 2 years because of injury, and foskey gets a pass. Mind boggling

Agreed. And Saints fans will find a way to blame this on Taysom somehow

1000%
Shough may go down a "wasted" pick, but Foskey is definitely a BUST...
he's definitely in that "looks like Tarzan, plays like Jane" category, and is 1st ballot HOF of that club

Does Foskey get a pass? Feel like he’s routinely roasted here.

A pass from whom
I doubt he is on the roster for much longer.

i don't think he gets a pass, per se, but it's just that he's such a non-factor, not doing anything good or bad, and that other areas of the team are so bad that he flies under the radar of most fans, b/c honestly, they don't even know he's on the team....

as he should be... he's completely useless... one of a long list of guys who peaked in college, only to do absolutely nothing in the NFL

Thinking a 2nd rd pick is worst draft pick in 20+ years is dumb.
SJB made one tackle in his NFL career, and it wasn't for us. PFF shows he played 8 defensive plays total.

Shough has played 1 preseason game, completed 68% of his passes with 1 TD and 1 INT. Why is he even mentioned in the bust category at this point? Because you think he wasn’t worth the pick in the 2nd round? I mean, any player “may” go down as a wasted pick, but Shough hasn’t shown anything visible to even mention that being a possible at this point.

Because he didn’t start this preseason game…………..

He gets a pass from the media. Not on here (because this board knows ball)

If you google his name you’d struggle to find a single positive article about him. It’s all he’s on the roster bubble and hasn’t produced.

reading comprehension is not a strong suit, huh?
i didn't say he would be considered a bust...

yes... IMO, he doesn't make us all that much better than Rattler, we are going to end up sucking no matter who is the starting QB, i don't see Shough getting drastically better anytime soon, and being he's older, he doesn't have a lot of time to "figure it out"...

the fact that he's not a clear cut day 1 starter vs. Spencer fricking Rattler, when we may have been able to shore up some other position, like TE, WR, etc, is all the reason, IMO, for him to be considered a wasted pick... we should have just rolled with Rattler for this year, picked someone else at another position who will still be on the team next season, and THEN gone with a QB, when there will be better talent to select from, while ALSO having that player we got at 40 still on the roster too...
but that's not what we did... and what will happen is we will STILL be picking a QB in round 1, immediately after going QB in round 2 of this draft... only one of them can play, so the redundant selection of a position at which only one guy can play prohibits overall roster growth... and it's one of the reasons our roster looks the way it does...

You guys blame Loomis for the draft picks but in reality he has done what the head coach wanted.Sean Payton had the power and ML did exactly what SP wanted.DA wanted Carr so ML got him.He deferred to his coaches and Kellen Moore liked him, so here he is.

Thats impossible! Didn't you hear that Loomis has been the one who made every single bad pick by hand?
Jeff Ireland picked all of our good players, but Loomis personally selected Foskey

Didn't we have a 4th or 5th rounder in that draft not even make it through preseason?

I have to agree. Unless I missed him, he doesn’t even appear in the official game stats. As in no sacks, no tackles for loss, no pressures, and not a single tackle. And he played a good amount of snaps. How is that even possible??

That’s not inaccurate
Btw, one of the worst picks was Tommy Stevens. Sean drafted him and traded up for him ONLY to prevent the panthers from doing so.

no one is blaming Loomis specifically... at least i know i'm not... no, our drafting woes has been a pretty concerted effort... but it's been more bad than good the last few drafts, and we are now at the point of having to draft replacements to cover past drafting mistakes (Banks selection b/c of Penning, for example)... that "miss more than you hit" ratio is why our roster is so devoid of talent, b/c not only do you not have the talent and production you were hoping from player A, but now you have to draft player B b/c A didn't pan out, and by drafting player B to cover for A, you missed a chance to get better another position with player C
