From National Review (paywall):
quote:
Violent crime rates in cities have also been decreasing in general, a downward trend that began in 2022. Crime rates fell nationwide in 2024 according to FBI data, with a 4.5 percent decrease in violent crime. Homicides also dropped nearly 15 percent in 2024, and fell 17 percent in the first half of 2025.....
Homicide rates in D.C. increased from 2017-21, before dropping sharply in 2022, and spiking again in 2023. The number of homicides in D.C. per year has been decreasing since 2023 — from 274 homicides in 2023, to 187 in 2024.
By August of 2024, the city had recorded 112 homicides. As of August 8, 2025, the city had recorded 99 homicides, continuing the downward trend.
Trump’s threats to federalize D.C. nevertheless focus on what the president portrays as a “totally out of control” violent crime epidemic.....
In D.C., homicides are down 12 percent from this time last year, assaults with a dangerous weapon are down 20 percent, and robberies are down 28 percent. There’s also been a 4 percent total decrease in property crime from this time last year, including decreases in burglary and theft.
Nonviolent arrests have increased since Trump passed his executive order. The U.S. Park Police saw a 37 percent increase in arrests in the first half of 2025, an official told the Washington Post, and Metro Transit Police arrests were up 33 percent. The task force has engaged multiple law enforcement agencies in order to facilitate crime prosecutions, arrests of illegal immigrants in D.C., the clearing out of homeless encampments, and more.

Anyone with a brain and ounce of integrity knows exactly why is 'down' in DC.

That isn’t enough. Going from really bad to bad isn’t enough. Crime goes up and down over the years. I think Trump wants it to go WAY down, as I’m sure the citizens do. Homeless problem also.

Crime is going to fall even further pretty soon.

The 2024 homicide rate in Washington, D.C., is approximately 26 per 100,000 residents,
That's third world level in our nation's capitol. Dems have been downgrading many charges in their cities to make it look less like the dangerous garbage that it is.

Especially if the crime is not reported outside the police department.

Homicides are hard to cover up if you want to juke the stats.

Do juvenile crime now.

DC finally started prosecuting criminals.
Weird that they can’t commit crimes against the public when they are incarcerated.

I read this bullshite earlier today. Anyone that accepts those numbers as legit is plain ole dumb. All over the nation, blue cities are under reporting (or not reporting) crime statistics. Our nations capital is a shite hole due to Marxsit Dems. Plain and simple.
No different from Chicago, New York, LA, and other blue cities.
The only fix is for some red, white, and blue traditional justice. If times were better, a long rope with a hangmans noise would be part of that justice. Let a few swing by their stretched neck and we'd be amazed at the sudden drop in crime.
Tell me I'm wrong....

If you cite any crime stats during the 4 year reign of terror under Jotato you can bet they're cooked to favor the Dim viewpoint. You know it's bad when Dim controlled cities decriminalized retail theft of less than $1000.....for the most part law enforcement weren't even trying to track these thieves down, let'm go.

That's why I focus on homicides.
Lumumba hid the crime stats in Jackson. However, the one thing he could not hide was homicides.

Meh, they just call them suicides or don’t report them at all if it’s a certain race on race.

Can we now run an analysis on the homicide and suicide rate vs. the location of Killary?
Posted on 8/10/25 at 3:21 pm to prplhze2000
The "lower" crime stats were because they were downgrading the crimes being reported. Crime has been "falling" because they got caught fudging the published numbers, jizz rag.

Progstain libshits can't help themselves...they always lie.

Still too high. Can you break the murders down nationwide by race and ethnicity?
