The hunter was stalking the Buffalo... I'd say the Buffalo was just a tad bit provoked.

Aren't the Cape Buffalo the deadliest of all the African big animals?

Man I don’t give a shite how anyone hunts, so it blows my mind that all the people have rules on what hunting is and harvesting is.

I appreciate all hunting and all forms of hunting. Some of it is not for me and I understand the differences and how people can appreciate one more than the other.

preach man, I'll sometimes leave pigs and other times i will harvest them. It all depends on which way the wind is blowing (not literally).

Eta: some places a rogue lion/lions or elephant need to be taken out and the locals aren't able to deal with that. The meat never goes to waste

I run 15 cameras year around and get 1000 plus pictures a day on 2 properties. The hogs are fricking everywhere day and night. Not to mention all the exotics that have escaped these high fence ranches in Texas that are competing with the native wildlife. Some of this shite needs to be shot.

It’s so bad in the hill country I have way more pigs and exotics than whitetail. At my place in South Texas it’s not as bad but we still have all kinds of shite show up on camera.

Imagine how bad wrecks would be in America if we haven't been shooting white tails all these years

Sounds like you need some help thinning numbers in hill country. That is only a couple three hrs from me.

Have guns, will travel!

Imagine running into Elk, moose or Nilgai. We were sitting there one night after cleaning a deer and heard a loud crash. We rode up to the Hwy and saw a car all busted up and we turned around and left. When we left out the next morning there was a Nilgai Bull right at the ranch gate. Made me sick to my stomach we didn’t see it and wasted all that meat. I ended up pulling it inside the gate and cut it’s head off and took it to a taxi for a euro mount to put in the camp house.

Dude it’s fricking stupid. I’ve hunted hard through my teens and early 30’s but if you make the habitat better the animals want to be there it makes it way easier. I’ve seen as many as 60 animals in a single morning hunt but most of the time it’s 15 to 30 for an average hunt in South Texas. The hill country is more hit or miss. You could see 20 or 2.

I've heard that. I think I've also heard them called Black Death.

Mbogo, is an ill-mannered tank. It is in the big five but kills less people each year than hippos. I think it is like #5 in killing terms.

If you want to read about some encounters with cape buffalos I recommend any of Peter Hathaway Capstick books.

I’ve never hunted them but I’ve hunted Africa 5 times.

The problem with Cape Buffalo is that they don’t give a mock charge, they just charge. All of the other dangerous game give a mock charge first so you know to back up.
