I am thinking about getting some work done on my boat. This is a fairly new business that opened in Kenner. Has anyone had any dealings with them? If so, do you recommend them?
Thanks

I used them to have a jack plate and hydraulic steering put in. No complaints here and thought it was a fair price.

I have used them since 2018 and highly recommend them. Family run business, fair prices and shoot straight. Won’t recommend shite you don’t need. They will slap a sticker on your motor so tell them if you don’t want them to.

Used them a while back to fix my hydraulic steering. It was easy to get an appt and they did great work. Really good people to do business with.

Thanks for the input. I will make an appointment with them soon. My boat is now 15 years old, and I've only spent money on trim/tilt issues and having the pump and impeller changed. Tiem to open the wallet, because the new bay boats are much too expensive.

I hate to be negative but, had a problem with the electronic throttle on my DF300 a while back.
Hunter repaired it (the part was 850US) along with some other stuff, battery switch, new leads, etc.
2kUS and a couple of weeks later the problem resurfaced, so I brought it back.
Young lady told me that Hunter had taken a job with Suzuki and that they weren’t able to do any service work at that time.
I brought it to Vince at Duvic’s and never looked back.
I’m sure that they have techs in place now, but that left a bad taste in my mouth.
That said, I know Billy (one of the owners) at Pier 21.
Super nice guy.

Why didn’t you get your owner buddy to get involved then? Did you complain just a little bit?

They have been around for awhile. They recently moved to Veterans near Williams from a location at the end of Veterans. I had them do a 250 hour service on my Yamaha F225, replace my hydraulic steering, and a few other things in 2019 and I couldn’t have been any happier with them. They also ordered me a Minnkota Ulterra for much less than I could find anywhere else, including directly from Minnkota. I highly recommend them.

Mixed results the people were I dealt with were fantastic but they didn’t fix everything and some of the work was shoddy. They told me they had an issue with with of their electronic installers and apologized. I’ll knock their score down a bit because of that experience but the owner and woman behind the counter were fabulous. I’m adjusting upward ward because they owned their service level issue. This was last year.

I've had great experiences with them. Very friendly and accommodating. Fair price. Let me drop off/pick up boat 30 min - 1 hr after closing time. Think it was Hunter who helped me.
They installed hydraulic steering for me and removed a broken spark plug from the cylinder of a used boat i bought.

Hunter was good to me helping with hydraulic steering on my super skiff at old location before Pier 21 staffed up. He does what he says he will do and left my boat clean. Boats are in his blood - Wish him well.
