I lived there as a newlywed. Could've been me.

To add - utilities were included in rent so that thermostat was 68 all summer. I didn't know how good I had it back then.

I heard a full mag being deployed, followed by another. I live off Jefferson farther down. I knew it wasn’t good.

You could’ve been a hood rat. I grew up on Brandon Drive right next to the Warwick and there were two rules. Don’t mess with the kids in the Warwick apartment complex. And merit cigarettes rule! Purchased at.Rica Liquor which was where the bank is now

The bigger news would be NOT a shooting at the Warwick.

I lived in the Warwick in 1978 and smoked those merits for $1 a pack. What year are you talking about?

Apartments seem to have a life of about 30 years, probably less than that, before they turn ghetto.

Yep. Newlywed there myself circa 2001. I think our rent was under $800/month when we started, and still under $900 when we left.

One summer we lived out of country for school. Thermostat was pushed to the bottom when we walked out, and still a chilly 67 when we got back. Fun times.

Apartments have no life span now.. They are built with the intension of being section 8 from before they even break ground. That’s 100% guaranteed income to pay the investment off ASAP, make money for a few years off of them, then sell out to someone else.
