In search of best putting instructor. Br/nola but desperate enough to go outside of that.

My putting’s so bad I’m thinking about switching to lawn darts. Outside three feet it’s like I’m puttin’ with a broomstick and a blindfold. I’m out there looking like I’m trying to guide a baby deer through a corn maze. I’m tired of turning birdie looks into bogey therapy sessions. I need help.
Anyway, tia.

Switch to the claw grip. Take a few months to get comfortable with the grip and deal with the struggles. Very beneficial long term, especially someone that used too much hands on the stroke.
Big difference I have seen is a dramatic improvement in my putts that are in the 3-10ft range

Manzella is the easy answer but I don't know much about his putting teachings, same for Laborde. Both good coaches though.
Unsure your problems but I've had a putting arc training aid for two+ decades. Whenever the putting woes hit, I practice for a few days to get things back in order. Much cheaper than lessons... LINK

Not sure how far you're willing to go, but Tim Yelverton at Old Waverly is the best short game coach around. Not an easy trip, but what's 4 hrs if putts start falling?! Good Luck

Get the "Go Sports XL Putting Alignment Mirror". Go to your local course and find a 3' putt that is straight, into the grain and flat or slightly uphill. Make 10 of them in a row at least twice through. After that move back to 5 or 6' and make all 10 of them again. Once that is completed, take the putting mirror away and practice like you are really putting on a course ( vary distances and breaks, uphill and downhill...). Work on this 2-3 times a week from 30 minutes to an hour and see the difference.

Great answer. Make a trip out of it and play Mossy Oak and Wave. Tim’s as good as they come in the country.

Can anyone still play there if you stay there? Thought they were going ultra exclusive?

Mossy Oak and Wave? That’s kind of a random spot to go ultra exclusive. Need to have a bunch of national memberships to MSU football season ticket holders I guess.

Normally I'd be like answer the OPs question, BUT he has a point.
My first question would be do you practice putting?

Manzella, Leitz, Noel are your best options in this area and it’s not even close. I had a buddy go to Laborde and he did awful things to his golf game. You can’t go wrong with the 3 guys above.

Noel teaches aimpoint for putting. So keep that in mind.

I use it. It’s not for everyone but he’s drastically made my putting better. Aim point aside, he knows a ton about the short game.

Oh yeh he is fantastic. Just for myself, a mid handicap weekend golfer, aim point is something I’m just not going to do. A lot of time and such just makes me feel silly at my level
