I am referring to AC/DCs “Back in Black” of course.
The song that was blaring in every party I went to back in the day, and the riff that ever kid with a guitar learned to play. (Damn I am old)
On a side note, my buddy at the Peabody Hotel in Memphis said they were by far the nicest famous people that ever stayed at the hotel and completely opposite of what you would think.

I still remember an older kid asking me if I had heard the new Back in Black album by AC/DC.
His review was, "It kicks arse!" He was correct.

Still might be my all-time favorite album.
I destroyed millions of brain cells listening to that album in my teens.

The fact Bon Scott died in February 1980, and any kind of album was released in July 1980 was a small miracle.
That was a small window to hire a new singer and write and record 95% of the album.
Most critics and fans were extremely skeptical, but AC/DC released a masterpiece of Rock-n-Roll.

I think most of the album had already been written when he died.

Heard it first time from an 8-track

I am going to step out of my comfort zone as English is certainly not my forte.
Only one album WAS released. A singular item is being referenced. That's all got and if I am wrong, I will accept my public flogging.

Back in Black was an unprecedented commercial and critical success. It has sold an estimated 50 million copies worldwide, making it the second-best-selling album in music history.
This was the first cassette tape I ever listened to...borrowed it from a teenage neighbor...pretty sure I was in 4th grade.

That’s what I once thought as well, but no, Bon Scott was only involved in rough demos of a couple of songs.
Angus Young, Malcolm Young, and new singer Brian Johnson wrote all the songs.

Bought it on cassette when I was going to Louisiana College.
Obviously, I did not graduate from LC.

That’s because the majority of the album was written by Bon before he died. Great album. However I do prefer AC/DC w Bon more than with Brian.

Same.

There has been long-running theories/rumors that Bon wrote most of the songs. There was supposed to be a notebook of lyrics that he left.
A guy named Fink has written a book and made videos on the topic, but Brian Johnson says in his memoir that he wrote all the lyrics for the album, and for the song Back in Black he just had a title and the riff to work from.
Like most fan conspiracies, it will never be resolved to everyone's satisfaction even if Jesus and Satan appeared on TV and told us what really happened. The losing side would claim they were full of shite.
