Get in here and defend this nintendo direct this morning nintendo fanboys

Not defending that Nintendo direct since those days are behind me along with the IGN Vestibule. Are you still upset the switch 2 is selling well?

I wish the WiiU had that nostalgia behind it back in the day. That was rough. I haven't bought nintendo since the gamecube so the switch 2 has been pretty awesome for me.

I wonder how many people that are buying a switch 2 have a switch 1. Or if they are like me.

You realize this was a bite sized Nintendo Direct, that they do frequently, where they just let third parties announce some games without Nintendo really overshadowing them too much. Showing Metroid Prime 4 on top of this stuff would just make it all even more boring. It's a fine strategy.

This wasn't a "big announcement" Nintendo Direct, nor was it intended to be. To be fair, it doesn't move the needle for the part for me either, but it wasn't one of the announced 1 month before, 40+ min. long with expected big game news. It was announced last week.

I think you make this post every time they make small announcement Directs.

So wait, was the re-release of Persona 3 Reload on the PS5 also a lame money grab?

Or was it only a lame money grab this time on the Nintendo Switch 2?

How is getting the current Street Fighter game an "upgraded money grab?"



I said this when the Switch came out and a bunch of people tried to dunk on it:

All they have to do is create a console that can house Nintendo Triple AAA titles and get third parties to bring the best - and it will sell well. The Switch killed it with the independent studio games - Hades, Slay the Spire, , - and actually saw good sales bringing slightly old games like Witcher 3 into the fold. It was actually quite a smart strategy.

If it can do the same thing, and expand third party access to the Elden Rings and Yakuza's of the world - it will sell well again.



When you complain - I don't understand what you want Nintendo to be?

Is it absolutely necessary that Nintendo has the "most powerful system" and that you have one system that can play both your current Call of Duty and the next Mario on? Is that the only way they "aren't making bad decisions?" Is that the only requirement? They can already get Fortnite and other games built to be cultural-multi platform games.

They REALLY only miss on a few things: the exclusives and the super-triple AAA studio giants at the time of release.

You would still buy a PS5 for their exclusives so why does it matter whether or not Nintendo can play your Call of Duty?

(I believe sic just wants Nintendo to make games and stop making consoles, but we won't go there).

i actually got an email from nintendo friday saying i could get one from them. I passed. I still have a backlog on my switch 1 and i'm enjoying my steam deck so much more at this point. I will happily wait for the OLED on this.
