Maybe smuggling drugs? What sort of security screenings do the flight crews go though? Like, is it easy for a pilot to hide a couple of bricks in their carry-on?

I'm guessing CSAM/CP or something similar. When they want a public spectacle while everyone around them has no idea what's going on, it's usually that. Complete and total speculation on my end fwiw
