If we can shut down a dual threat QB in the season opener, sure I'm in.

I rarely, if ever, get nervous as a 32 year old anymore. First dates I don't ever get nervous anymore. Interviewing for dream job, I might be a tiny nervous, but not that nervous. The preceding 24 hours before the Clemson game? I'm going to be an absolute train wreck with cold sweats and butterflies reacting to anyone who speaks to me with extreme aggressiveness. I haven't been this anticipatory for a season in maybe ever due to what I hear all around. Expectations are a bitch.

A 32 year old man reacting like this to a College Football game needs to see a Psychologist or Psychiatrist.

Hope you're being facetious bro, because that's coming across like one of the juvenile fartknockers that absolutely lose their minds and make fools of themselves on the Scoreboard during a game.

I mean why do we even watch sports if not to torture ourselves for four hours for the hope of elation at the end?

It's the toughest game on the schedule.

Winning it is absolutely enormous and is an incredible resume booster for the playoffs. You immediately catapult yourself firmly into the top 5 and you are in the drivers seat moving forward a you can afford to drop a game. Playoff chances shoot through the roof and your going to be the talk of national media all week and Nuss will likely be the heisman favorite.

You lose and it'll be bad. While Kelly is untouchable with his contract, it will immediately deflate the fanbase and the negativity will be hard to escape and the players will hear a ton of it. Kelly calling it Death Valley jr will be repeated by the talking heads a million times. No matter what he does Nuss will bear the brunt of the negativity. It'll be a month of needing to win every game before excitement starts to creep back.

It's the most important first game I can remember not just for a season but for the program.

If we win- LSU is all of a sudden one of the favorites to win it all.

If we lose- Kelly would have lost every opener and the future looks bleak with the roster appearing to take step backwards going into '26 since we lost out on underwood and all the eggs were in that basket.

What do you think about people that make fools of themselves nearly every day, kind of like you do?

The only thing that is a given is people will severely overreact either way.

Lose and the season is over and everybody sucks and should be fired.

Win and it's on the way to the national championship.

True. Also, LSU lost to USC. USC was a mediocre team. Something will give in the first game.

LSU’s record in season openers is 92-34-5 … you want to overturn that and have a losing record?

Kind of like you making a fool of yourself predicting the pitching wasn’t as good as advertised and saying Reaves would eventually be the starting 3B lmao.

You remember that? I do and so does everyone else

Wishful thinking with a whole new OL. CBK opener's 0-3, now we are @Clemson at night with a new OL. Ummm, do not think so, 0-4.
