Mike Johnson already talking about passing more tax legislation before the end of the year.

I guess they found out about the shite they didn’t like once they actually read it. Dumbasses

US government is setup in such a bullshite way. This one bill should have been a different bill for each item.

I'd be all for legislation that requires some limit to how many items could be addressed in a bill, I'm just unsure how that would need to be worded for it to stick and I am sure that politicians would be against it because it would kill their ability to insert a "poison pill" in the legislation to kill a bill while pretending to be for it.

Exactly. It would never pass. But they should be voting item by item on these things and not having 1000 issues in one that has to pass or fail. It’s idiotic but it’s designed that way to be used exactly how they are using it.

Gambling losses should not be deductible. Plain and simple. Nor should business losses or housing losses.

Funny how many “conservatives” bitch about entitlements but are fine with allowing people to count their mistakes as tax breaks, and no I am not talking about their kids.

Then winnings shouldn't be taxed. Being able to tax winnings and then still be taxed on 10% of losses is ridiculous.

Losing money by being a degenerate doesn’t mean you should be able to deduct bad decisions.

You won money. It it income. Deal with it. No income “losses” should be able to be deducted. Plain and simple.

But degenerate gamblers want their cake.

So if someone wagered 100K throughout the year and won exactly 100K to break even, what do you think they should be taxed on?

Gambling should be treated like cigarettes or alcohol. Tax the sh*t out of people who choose to throw money away.

Dumb? Gambling on sporting events and elections is not a job. It’s a choice. The only people this would hurt are degenerate or “professional” gamblers.

In the end, you should not be able to write off bad decisions fully. It is not the responsibility of others to cover for your mistakes. Isn’t that the typical conservative line?

But that would make buying the gov’t way more expensive and difficult for corporations and billionaires!

I agree those should be removed. Poor business decisions should not be something you can write off. Plain and simple.

So if you’re running a loss your implication is you’ve made poor business decisions?
