Not sure if he'll actually be good, and I don't really care what they gave him and who caved, and all of that stuff. It's good they got him signed before the start of camp, especially if they're going to count on him this year.

At this point, what else do we have to lose? By the time we have a starting QB that will make any noise, all of our WR core will be gone, Kamara will be retired and the defense will be revamped.
As of now, let him play a full season and see what needs to be fixed in the draft if he is your long-term solution.
Hopefully with a decent o-line we can find out if this kid can play QB in the NFL versus saying he'll develop after 2 seasons of poor play.

We caved but to be expected Shough had the leverage given he’s the likely starter and the general sense among informed Saints fans how incompetent Loomis is.
The fully guarantee means he’s paid in full for the 4 year rookie deal and reduces his trade value to us if we are forced to trade him because he is not starter material.
As more contracts in the NFL become like MLB and NBA (fully guaranteed) it hurts the small market teams like us more. Overall this is a very disturbing signing.
