I currently have a 17 f250 with the 6.7 diesel. It’s been a great truck. Routine maintenance is key on these . It will hit 199k miles today and will be going to my son when my new truck arrives. It’s been the best truck I’ve owned by far.

Do you have a mini excavator? Have a buddy looking to get 3 culverts around gloster installed on his woods road. Know you have a dozer but not sure bout mini.

I had a 2017 and had problems with the 360 camera system and the screen was tiny. I prefer my 2022 over the 2017 with the bigger screen and so far no problems with the cams but I’m sure that will change over time if they have the same cams.

Well the 6.2 gas burners with the 6 speed are bomb proof. Those are probably the best HD trucks ever made.

As far as the diesels go, the 2019 and later models have basically perfect engines. Any 6.7 after the first couple years is fine. Its kind of a crap shoot that the previous owner did all of the proper maintenance on it. If they did, it'll be great. If they didn't, the fuel pump may be a ticking time bomb. Its difficult to tell unless it has a documented service record.

Chevys have been really good for quite a while now, both gas and diesel. Wouldn't shy away from any of them as long as they dknt have the CP4 fuel pump.

Rams - gas burners only after 2019 (8 speed transmission models) and diesels only prior to 2018 or prior to 2025 as long as the 2019-2024 diesel has had the cp4 fuel pump recall completed. A 1 ton 2015-2018 with the aisin transmission is by far the most desirable, those are probably the most reliable diesel pickups ever made.

I have a 2013 4wd f250 gas and am very pleased. It like the rpms when I'm going to pull but it does it fine.

The brakes were upgraded from the 2011 and 2012s which is why I went 13. I only have 92k miles on it.

The AC is decent but down here id definitely go white with the ceramic tint.

It's my only complaint.

I've puller plenty up the I10 bridge and have never been concerned. Coming down either. The brakes are excellent. I have a lot of confidence going down the road.

The one thing to watch for on that model is the emergency brake. When you release it it snaps back superhard. Repeated use can loosen the cable harness its snapped to and can give you wierd electrical issues.

I ran a zip tie around the harness plug to hold it together and i place my.foot over the brake pedal when I release it and return it slowly. Never an issue again. You can Google the issue.

2015-2018 6.7 F250s

I realize the body changed but they only altered the turbos. These are the best trucks built in the last 25 years.

I have a Kubota KX040 and a dozer.

I’m about 20 minutes from Gloster if he needs some help.

This subject is really a rabbit hole.

Many say the 15-16 model are the best because of the steel frame and simpler deletes.

Some people will tell you the 05-07 6.0l is the best truck Ford ever made... If you spend 10K+ bulletproofing and re-working the Motor to get rid of all its problems.

The some ppl will tell you to go buy an old 99-03 7.3 and restore it and all you have to do is change the oil and filter and you're set for 500K+ miles on the engine.

It's all what you want to spend I guess and how much you want to maintain the truck.

The only try consensus it to absolutely stay the hell away from 08-10 6.4L. Those are boat anchors...unless you want to spend 20K and Cummins Swap them.

I had a 12KR, a 17Plat, and a 22Plat.

No problems with any except the sunroof rails on the 17 failed and would've been a 4500 repair except I had ESP.

I'm trading the 22 on a 26 in August. It has 19K on it and you should buy it from the dealer.

I like the 6.7s a lot.

Tend to agree.

Best transmissions, and massaging seats.

Man, I had the 17 in Scottsdale and it would freeze us out. Black truck, too.

It was a 6.7, but that wouldn't make any difference, I don't think...

It did have tint, though

2016 F350 Dually.

It has been a fantastic truck. Ive also had a F250 in 92, 95, 2000, 2006 and this thing outsines them all. My F350 is so much fun to drive. It's a Lariat with a sunroof and Bose sound system. I absolutely love it.

I do still wish I had the 2000 though. That was the first vehicle I bought brand new. When I sold it, it had 335,000 miles on it and was still in great shape. The lady I sold it to is still driving it. I've tried to bujy it back from her 3 times and the bitch won't sell it.

Looking at 19 - f250, 4x4, lariat with a 6.2 gasser tomorrow, 120k - mile one owner. Been trying to decide between the 6.2 and 6.7, it will only occasionally pull my offshore boat more than 10 miles at a time since I keep it at the coast so not so worried about needing dedicated a tow rig per say. The diesels just seem like money pits, everything is more expensive, and cp4 pumps sound like ticking time bombs. We run 6.2s in our fleet trucks, we have had a couple break valve springs which seems to be a known issue but other than that they've been very reliable. Biggest draw back I see on them is terrible gas mileage, it will not be a daily driver so I'm thinking I'll just have to bite the bullet there. Any opinions on the above?

I have a buddy who has an F350 with a 6.2 thats up around a half million miles. He maintains it well but works it like a rented mule. Its always hooked to something way too heavy for any pickup to be pulling and he's not easy on the gas pedal.

Id buy any non-abused 6.2 with confidence. The gas mileage isnt that bad. I had one with 4.30's that would get 16mpg with fair treatment and one with 3.73's that would get close to 18.
