Trailer for the first movie got me hyped although the movie itself was just OK.
That trailer has got me hyped for the second movie and I think it looks better. Maybe less focus on Cole's dumb character. The addition of Johnny looks like a great move.

Bet we get the new Sub Zero in this one and yeah Sub Zero is the goat. Not really familiar with all the MK lore but I know the second Sub Zero was a good guy and the first one not so much. I thought Scorpion was always a bad guy so seeing him as some fallen hero in the Mortal Kombat from a couple years ago was strange. Was that Noob in the trailer that Scorpion kills? Oh and Shao Kahn looks awesome.

I think Cole will die early which will force Scorpion to return to avenge his bloodline (again). Cole will then take the mantle of Scorpion close to the end as Hiroyuki's character finally gets peace.
Lewis Tan is just too good of a martial artist and actor to remove from the franchise if they want to keep it going. And he's pretty bankable coming off Cobra Kai.
So I think he will become the new Scorpion in the post credit scene.
