Besides the normal stuff like getting aggravated when some a-hole tries to make small talk or asks what you did over the weekend.

I hate it when an acquaintance or coworker asks for a ride or to share a ride, I will absolutely lie and make up a story to get out of that. Even just to go across town for lunch.

Example- a few years ago there was a conference in NOLA and a co-worker had asked me the day before if I would be able to give them a ride back from the conference to Baton Rouge. I made up some elaborate story that I was staying an extra night in NOLA to visit a relative. F that! Let me drive in peace. There’s only a very small number of people that I will share a ride with. I will say on the drive back that my head was on a swivel. Don’t know what I would’ve done and the person seen me driving back after the conference. Probably made up some other lie that the relative I stayed with had some sort of emergency.

Also, it’s an extremely rare occurrence that I will ask someone for a ride somewhere

Same with wanting to share a hotel room. No way!

I don't mind a little superficial small talk. I don't mind, per se, a big social event. I just need a full day of nobody after any day of heavy social interaction (holiday, wedding, etc.)

I don't think I'm very introverted in 90% of things

But I will definitely slow walk to not share the elevator with a random person in my building. I don't really have any reason to do it, I don't mind small talk and will initiate it sometimes. I just...do it anyway

I’m twice as likely to Irish goodbye from the bar as I am to tell everyone I’m going. When I get overwhelmed I’m taking off

I stink at small talk, but I'll do it.

However.. please respect my bubble. I don't like being touched and prefer a 2ft minimum buffer zone.

Agree 1000%

Hotel rooms i have zero tolerance for sharing. I can handle a shared ride but only with a good friend. I have control issues. I have to drive.

Same. At most, I’ll give one or two people in the group of warning. Same at other large events.

Yes, indeed. Of the very few people I actually enjoy sharing a ride with, I’m always the first to volunteer to drive. And I’ll pay the extra money for my hotel room rather than split it.

I am not an introvert, but I do have a couple of introvert quirks.

I never answer when an unknown number calls.

I hate unannounced visits to the house.

Do not hate big gatherings, but can do without them....I think that is mostly because I am getting old.

I think a lot of people do this… but when I travel I take my corded headphones and typically leave them in even though I’m actually not listening to anything. They’re actually not even plugged into anything it’s just the end of the cord in my pocket

If I'm walking and I see somebody I know before they see me, I go the other way so I don't have to talk to them.

Same here and I’m not even an introvert, but I do have a limit for interaction with most people or people in general.

A lot of you sound like social rejects, nerds, dorks, dweebs, retards, and spazzes.

Thought the OT was better than this.

this unless it is a close friend. I also have a hard time coping with staying at other's houses. I am the first to volunteer to get a hotel at holidays and such.

Years ago I drove down to the beach for a friend's wedding, it was probably a 5 hour drive. I was solo and drove by myself and loved it. the night of the wedding as everyone's partying is winding down, this jewish frick asks if he can bum a ride back with me. He apparently rode down with some of the wedding party who were staying a few extra days. I barely knew this guy AT ALL, like maybe had spoken to him a couple times in my life prior to wedding weekend, and even that weekend only briefly conversed with him in passing.

I was solo in an SUV and we were going to the same place so coulnd't really avoid saying yes. Pissed me off then and still does now 14 years later. And get this...at that wedding I met a girl that I would go on to date for 2.5 years. A week after we broke up this frick asks her out! She said no. But still..I really don't care for that guy.

I loathe the telephone

Competing noises (TV+phone video+music on, etc..) makes my head explode

My friend group is full. I have five friends, I'm not interested in more friends

I never get bored. Ever. If you told me I had to stay inside all week to read, It would bring me immense joy.

Not afraid to do things alone, like go to a movie, to a restaurant, hike. I actually prefer it.

If you met me at a party, you'd never guess I am an introvert. My friends wouldn't even call me an introvert. We aren't shy. I can turn it on and throw out one-liners and tell stories amongst the best of them. I'm well read and can converse on a lot of different subjects.

Its just the process of interacting at a party completely drains me, and I need a lot of time to recover after.
