I would typically frown on someone doing it at a regular game, but what about special events like HR Derby? Asking for a friend.

Caught a foul ball in 2017 and broke a bone in my hand. I am firmly in the pro-glove crowd now.

That depends. First, what is a grove?

Also... only complete and total dorks who are grown men bring gloves to ANY baseball game in which they are not playing. Kids? Sure... bring a glove. Grown men? C'mon... you're a grown up. Leave both your grove and your glove at home.

You're right the grove would be an odd place. No coffee this morning yet.

Don't let peer pressure bring you down.

It's not a baseball game though. This is an event where fans are involved.

I don't want to be labeled a dork by people I won't ever see again though.

If you gonna bring a glove, make it worth it.

Carry the glove with you to the derby. If you snag a ball with it then you made the right choice. If you don't, no harm done.

I dropped one with my bare hand last year because I reached out instead knocking over a woman holding a baby out of the way. It hurt all game. It was an Ohtani foul ball. I was only mad because it ended up in a Dodger fans hand. I would have given it to the woman because she was Japanese.

I wouldn’t do it. But live your life the way you want.

If you can’t handle a few snickers and stares, you should probably stay home to begin with.

I hope you catch a few. Your husband will be so proud.

I caught a few balls from your dad when I was younger.
