I don’t know if Kelly will win a title at LSU. But I do know LSU Football is in its best position, organizationally, than it has ever been before.

From NIL, revenue sharing, recruiting, talent acquisition, to X and O coaching, it’s first class all the way.

Hopefully it all comes together on the field

A poor defense with House cost him a chance at a NC already. He's got AT and now more help coming to manage the roster. It takes depth and quality to all three phases of the team. That time has arrived.

Look , I support BK. But we have blown like 4 straight openers, blown a season with a Heisman winning QB , haven't been in a single playoff.

You cannot blame people for thinking the HC isn't first class lol.

I think Kelly has done a fantastic job of evolving the football program to reflect the current realities of the business. He's also done a good job keeping the roster stacked with talent through recruiting and the transfer portal. The irony is that the only real question mark is his coaching ability. I think the first game will tell us how the season is going to go. If we come out prepared and win, whether it's a tough game or a blow out, we could be in for great times ahead. If it looks like any of the previous openers, look out.

Wonder if people realize he let Austin Thomas go when he took the job. Among other people he has since hired back.

I like Kelly; he had a huge blind spot when it came to his 1st staff. Set them back at least 2 years.

You're right. I've never believed that the active leader in college football wins is "first class."

I disagree. The Clemson game will be extremely tough and we should be expected to lose. It would not surprise me at all if we lost that game by double digits and still made the playoff. I think the game that will tell us how the season is going to go is the Florida game.

Well at LSU you really don't need 1st class head coaches to win Championships. Look at the last 2 coaches at LSU who won Championships here, do you think Les Miles and Ed Orgeron was 1st class?

I do not think Sloan is a Championship caliber OC. Maybe one day he will be.

I'm not sure what percentage of it was House and what was the personnel because honestly the talent was way below the level it should ever be at LSU on defense IMHO.

Now could they have been coached up to 80th in the country instead of 120th on defense would that have been enough? Probably?

Part of me feels that while that sucked, it was necessary, and the entire program needed a purge of all Miles and Orgeron staff and to start over from scratch.
