I have never been to one, but my wife wants to take her nephew to one, which we will enjoy experiencing with him.

What are the best seats? We are pit or floor behind the pit people for concerts but with motorsports front row is often not the preferred seats ie F1.

Any suggestions. Cajundome will be the venue if it matters.

About half way up. On the broad side. Bring ear protection

How old is your nephew? Took my son (3) to one and sat where he could walk up to the front fences. The stands were elevated much like I would expect them to be in the Cajun Dome. It wasn't crowded so it wasn't bothering anyone. He loves monster trucks now.

Word of advice, take ear protection for everyone... and prepare to enjoy people watching more than the show

The venue actually does matter. Cajundome and Baton Rouge River Center shows are nothing compared to the ones in the Superdome.
In the smaller venues, they're cautious of hitting the walls, so they're always hitting the brakes.
The larger area at the Superdome allows the drivers to get speed and perform bigger tricks.

Also, pay the extra for the pre-show pit pass. My kids were able to take photos standing by all the trucks and even met a few drivers.

Big motorsports fan so I always have protection in my pocket and judge when I am there. Will have ears for the little one.

I've always wanted to go to one of these shows. Even as an adult it seems like it would be a blast.

It’s loud as f..k if you’re inside, I recommend earplugs. We had a good time when we went couple years ago in dome.

My dad took me to a show in the late 80’s maybe early 90’s or so with no ear protection.

It was at the Monroe civic center.

It may have been quieter if I was sitting on the cab of the monster truck.

Doesn’t matter. You’ll pay for the seat but you’ll only need the edge

swing by in the early afternoon. you may be able to wander around the parking lot and watch them unload and prep. it used to be very casual. bring hearing protection there too.

my kid was about 4 and loved tractor pulls and monster trucks, so i took him to the River Center parking lot to look around. we were looking at a blown fuel tractor with about 5 other kids ranging from 6-12, who obviously had no clue. when i saw the crew member walk up and open the butterflies to spray alcohol in it, i pulled my kid back a ways and we covered our ears. he fired up the engine and the kids almost pissed themselves.
