Monroe was once had Delta Airlines and the first Coca Cola bottling operation. An unrealized metropolis.

They left off the “thank God” at the end, but they were thinking it.

Delta originated in Georgia in 1924. It’s first passenger service started in Monroe in 1929.

ETA: for all the downvoters

Delta Air Lines' history began in 1925 as Huff Daland Dusters, the world's first aerial crop-dusting operation, in Macon, Georgia

They continued to have their corporate meetings in Monroe up until the late 1990's as a nod to their origin. So yea, your thread is fricking retarded.

Then they stopped because they realized they were in Monroe. The 90s weren’t yesterday.

The best thing was no traffic. Which we could thank for Delta and Coke not being there.

Little reason for population to grow there.

You either went to NLU generally or pharmacy school there.

The non-stop Delta flights from Monroe to Hammond to go to Disney World would have been great.

Delta started as a crop dusting service in Monroe, LA and then evolved into passenger service.

My step Dad was a flight examiner for Louisiana for a very long time. He had a hanger next to one of the pilots that used to fly for delta.
