Doing a Phase 4/5 film rewatch. . . I was wrong. The Marvels/Eternals were not the worst

Thor was the worst. Hands down. It is so incredibly bad on rewatch. Taika can write or direct, never both.

Just nothing redeemable at all. Wasted a great actor playing a great villain

Spider Man: No Way Home
Deadpool & Wolverine
Guardians 3
Shang Chi
Black Widow
Strange MOM
Thunderbolts
Wakanda Forever
Brave New World
Quantumania
Eternals
The Marvels
Thor: Love and Thunder

On that list, this is the worst not even close.

The Marvels was definitely worse but Live and Thunder was a much bigger disappointment

Iman Vellani was great as Ms Marvel. . .despite what people said about her show. Sadly she was kind of a side character

Also you get this:

It ain't much. . .but it is better than anything you get from Thor

Thor: Love and Thunder was a gigantic piece of shite.

To me, the Marvels is better than Captain Falcon, the Eternals, and Thor. Might even be better than Quantumania. I haven’t seen Thunderbolts yet. I’ve gone from seeing every single MCU film in theaters to now waiting for them to come out on D+

I know people will think this is a hot take but it’s 1,000% accurate. I rewatched some of Thor 4 recently and it’s just not rewatchable. Hemsworth did recently admit he screwed up and he and Takiki hammed it up way too much.

This doesn’t mean Marvels and Inhumans were good but Thor 4 is the worst.

Are the only ones worth a damn on that list. Thunderbolts completely underrated.

I agree with your assessment generally, but I have a hard time viewing Wakanda Forever as better than Brave New World. I was actually pleasantly surprised by Brave New World. I thought it would be pure garbage after the Falcon TV show, and it turned out to be a fairly decent and enjoyable movie.

Haven't seen Thunderbolts yet so can't say if is put it above that one or not. I'd probably give BNW the nod over Dr Strange: Wandaverse of Madness though.

Shang Chi made me more hopeful for phase 4 than I probably should have been.

Gorr was pretty much botched and he really didn't do much God killing. What should have been a serious movie was undercut numerous times with forced humor that just didn't work.

he did a ton off screen and we got some good fight scenes.

I dont agree that it should have been a serious movie and I felt the emotional part still hit despite the humor.

and i really enjoyed the humor

NHW, Thunderbolts, and Guardians were okay..

Deadpool was a trip down memberberry lane.

To me none of them were really worth a second watch. The first phase of Marvel were just categorically better

I think the current Marvel universe is basically hanging on by a thread.

I’d add Shang Chi. Very enjoyable.

I was shocked that Thunderbolts did as poorly as it did. I enjoyed it and it had good word of mouth.
