Went to bed in the 6th with a somewhat optimistic mindset because the boys had not seemed to lay down offensively and thought there may have been a good chance for a comeback. I planned on streaming the rest of the game early this morning. Circumstances arose that made such impossible, so I checked the score and then the DAT. Needless to say, I am disappoint in the outcome.
I suppose they are going to ride the current roster setup through the all star break and then hope that some of the infirmed are able to return and contribute at that time.

I've been quiet during the run of great outcomes because I'd jinx it, but this lineup sucks arse and I'm not expecting much effort to fend off a sweep.

We should be getting Jake and Walker back by Friday. (Lets hope)

Walker
Wait, has he progressed enough that he is no longer Cocksuck? I feel we need Dragon to weigh in on this. I know absence makes the heart grow fonder, but he is still at -0.5 WAR for the year.

I’ll wait to see what song Casey plays today before deciding if it’s a win or a loss.

No logical person can argue this fact. However, our two all star pitchers gave up 10 runs last night.

Nonetheless, I've seen the absolute hopeless rot of having Zach Short at the plate in a late inning situation with the tying run in scoring position. This wasnt the evolution i was looking for

And now, this is Casey Kasem, bringing you a special American Top 40 long-distance dedication from a listener who calls himself '5 Deep'. Here's what he had to say:
"Dear Casey,
I'm a diehard Astros fan, and I gotta admit, I got a little too full of myself during their recent hot streak. I was talking big, thinking we were untouchable, maybe even tempting fate with my swagger. But these last two games—ouch—they've humbled me, and I owe an apology to the baseball gods for my arrogance. I’d like to dedicate Hard to Say I’m Sorry by Chicago to them, hoping they’ll forgive me and keep the Astros swinging strong. Keep reaching for the stars, Casey."
Well, 5 Deep, the baseball gods are a tough crowd, but I bet they’re listening. So, here it is, from the heart of Houston baseball to the heavens above, Hard to Say I’m Sorry by Chicago, on American Top 40.

Zach Short
I remember one year when Click was still around at the trade deadline you jokers would constantly post that ‘do something’ meme and it brought me great joy every time I saw it. Much in the same way the Abreu back of the baseball card posts did.
In honor of whichever of you that was, I post it for Zack Short, now known as Shart.

Now I'm going to have to do at least two more of these today.

I think there are more than enough candidates to do far more than two.

Chicago 16, 17, and 18 were mainstays on my playlist
Cassettes of course

First time seeing that
Yeah, I may have been in touch with my feminine side during my homophobic stage
I didn't really care for the older Chicago stuff, but something about 17 struck home with me when the scent was strong

Yeah, Hunter and Hader both were probably due for a rough outing. And I’m sure there is an inevitable letdown after the Dodgers series and the week of games against the Phillies and Cubs before that.
