“Letter day” seemed pretty lame and anticlimactic

The “big” highlight of was threatening SK and Japan with 25% tariffs next month of no progress made
The rest of the letters were to random arse nations we barely trade with (Burma, South Africa, Kazakhstan, etc)
I’m actually kind of surprised the markets fell.

That's what I thought. Just kick the can down the road and maybe get a few deals signed by 8/1.
Myanmar and Laos ae pretty poor countries. I know we import a lot of textiles from there but could they even afford much of anything we export. Just don't see how many of there poor nations will ever have a trade balance with the U.S.

This is the letter. Most 5th graders could have written it better. The markups are by a Japanese scholar specializing in American government and politics.

The random capitalization is nearly identical to how Trump writes his tweets, so it’s not terribly surprising.

They can balance it with heroin, this would solve the fentanyl issue and hit the chicoms and cartels hare.

While I imagine there was content editing, I imagine Trump wanted it to clearly look like it came from him. Nearly all of the “errors” are “improper” punctuation that Trump does on purpose.
