The 15 miles headed eastbound after the closure was pretty awesome.
You think people speed normally? Remove all the traffic and then put a few rural drivers on that stretch of I10.
Doing 120 and paw paw passed me in a 4dr lincoln like I was stationary.

It allows emergency vehicles to contraflow rather than sit in traffic.
