Just look at the R’s 10+ years ago. Gang of 8. Amnesty.
Now the majority of the country are in favor of mass deportations. ICE gets a nice lump of investment.
Immigration has always been a sensitive issue but Trump tackled it head on

There's reason for optimism but funding the operation big time isn't a guarantee that we'll see 5-10 million deportations during this term.
That said, shutting the border down and building the wall are big wins, and those are more in the bag.

Self deportation incentives would be great
1. Hospitals/ERs must report illegals
2. No benefits of any kind for illegals
3. 75% tax on any monies sent out of the country if the sender cannot verify they are legally in the USA.
4. All government bodies, federal, state or local including schools, universities, or other must report illegals.
They have to want to leave to make it easier on LE.

It's almost like the word "illegal" has been resurrected from the Merriam-Webster literary graveyard. Remember just last year when Brandon referred to illegals as "Newcomers"???

I expect at some point as the lowest elements self deport they will go scorched earth on the way home. Those will need to be taken out while resisting.

They did it to themselves.
They did nothing pertinent to tackle the border. Worse yet, when the states took matters into their their own hands, then the Fed’s suddenly show up to cut razor wire. They showed their incompetence on the matter. The bussing of migrants to northern blue cities was genius. It brought so much awareness to the major issue it had become.
Common everyday Americans saw it from both sides of the spectrum. Ray Charles could even see how the Dems were being deliberate about it. What a crazy four years.

Biden could have followed Clinton, Bush, Obama, and Trump(1st term) with basically the same policies. He would have gotten zero flack from anyone. Instead he had everyone “surge the border”. A complete departure and now Trump has to clean it up.
