Don’t remember this coming up in 2018 when it happened and 2022 when it went to trial.

Yahoo! - Louisiana Supreme Court: Kayla Giles' murder conviction, sentence reversed, vacated

She is definitely a fun weekend if you can survive it. Without a doubt she has done everything twice.

Not her first run in with the law:

quote:

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry says the state has arrested five people for allegedly stealing unemployment benefits.

Three of the five are accused of using someone else’s name and personal information to file on their behalf. Landry says fraudsters have stolen more than $300,000 since the pandemic began in March.

Kayla Giles, 33, of Alexandria, and Teri Thibodeaux, 33, of Forest Hill, were arrested and charged with felony identity theft, felony money laundering, government benefits fraud, and criminal conspiracy. The pair is accused of using approximately 25 stolen identities to file fraudulent COVID-19 related unemployment claims (valued at approximately $300,000) in multiple states. In addition to the identity theft scheme, the two allegedly made fraudulent claims in their own names in multiple states, with Giles receiving approximately $13,000 and Thibodaux receiving $37,000.

And it states that surveillance video captured from a nearby Sonic restaurant "tends to verify" that Giles already was inside her vehicle when Coutee opened her door.

Sonic is even mentioned.

Good job, son.

Brain dead people starting threads asking whether you should run a four-way stop.

You can’t fix her.

Absolute trash, zero conscience and should have never been allowed to reproduce.

Nope.

Crazy eyes. Wouldn't touch it with somebody else's 10-foot pole.

Did a little digging

quote:

Higgins writes that Giles has submitted more than 130 job applications to date. He said she was previously offered a position working for DoorDash, but was “forced to quit said job at DoorDash because of the media, public outcry and calls to her employer from the community.”

This is good shite

ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB) - Kayla Giles, the Alexandria woman charged with second degree murder and obstruction of justice for the Sept. 2018 shooting death of her estranged husband in a Walmart parking lot, wants to open a daiquiri bar.

More on Thomas Coutee

quote:

On Thursday, Coutee’s family and friends gathered at the spot to remember him. Among them was the lead detective in the case, William Butler, who watched while standing apart from the group.

I’m depraved enough to love the teachers that make 15yo dudes’ dreams come true, but I draw the line at murdering your child’s father in front of them in a Walmart parking lot.

Evidence presented at trial

quote:

Harris also introduced logs of iMessages from the computer to a 214 area code number, which is the Dallas, Texas, area. She asked Gunter to read them aloud.

"I may make the news," read one from Giles' email to the number.

"Make sure to send me the link. Lol," read the reply.

and

quote:

Another message from the Giles email joked that the person might be starting a GoFundMe account for her bail.

and

quote:

And he introduced a copy of an email from Coutee to Giles in which he apologized for being a bad husband and for his "anger problem."

There's more

quote:

But Coutee had sought to meet somewhere else, one exchange showed. Harris asked Alford to read a text from Coutee in which he asked to meet in the department's parking lot, in an area specifically for child swaps and online sales transactions.
