What book would you like to be made into a movie/tv series that hasnt already been done?

The main complaint I see on this board is there is no creativity in Hollywood. I think for the entire history of the film industry it was mostly built on adapting stories that had already been told/written.
We had the Jaws thread yesterday, even Jaws wasnt an original idea, it was a book first.
Inception is a recent example of a movie everyone liked but was basically adapted from Paprika.
I think if you want original ideas they wont start in Hollywood, they'll start as a book which is a wide open industry now and is easier for anyone to get into these days than it has ever been.
I would really like to see Mutiny on the Bounty adapted into a movie. It has everything you need to make something on the scale of Master and Commander

Red Rising as a tv series. Too much to condense into a movie.

There is a Mutiny movie with Brando. No clue if it is any good. Also The Bounty with Hopkins and Mel Gibson. 1935 version but I would imagine that one is pretty rough to watch if it can be found.

I’ve had an audible account for a long time, but could never really get into “listen reading”, but recently I have tried to pick it up and learn now to listen read.
I’m currently listening to (very early on) Red Rising since I have a limited free time to listen. And next is Project Hail Mary, which was mentioned a few days ago.
I know it’s coincidental, but just funny to me.

I know there's talks of this happening, but I'd love to see "Devil in the white city"

If you had said my vampire system i was gonna throw my phone.
They are spamming youtube ads lately and it looks like the most generic shite.
I enjoyed The Nevernight Chronicles by Jay Kristoff, didnt know he had a new series out. Nevernight did turn kinda cringe at points but would also be make a very good and easy to pull off tv series

I would love to see Gods and Generals, The Killer Angels, and The Last Full Measure made into an epic Civil War miniseries on Netflix, Max, or Prime. They could finally do that trilogy justice.

I’m going to say World War Z, because that movie doesn’t count. An adaptation of the book, where the war is presented as an after-the-fact documentary would be dope.
Serge Storm, Doc Ford, or Skink series from the popular Florida authors would be fun.

Bounty has been done but it's such a great topic, more instances should be told....for instance this was a runaway NYT Bestseller recently (author of Killers of the Flower Moon), so maybe he already has a multiple book Hollywood deal:
Story of shipwreck, survival, and savagery, culminating in a court martial that reveals a shocking truth. The powerful narrative reveals the deeper meaning of the events on The Wager, showing that it was not only the captain and crew who ended up on trial, but the very idea of empire.

I bought the Wager based off Russillo recommendation but the havent finished it yet. It's just sitting in my audible account for now.
But the mutiny had more stuff uncovered since the original novels and they cover that on the intro on Fitzsimons new version that was recently released (2018).

Olen Steinhauer's 'The Tourist' series. Just the first three books. Would be an awesome series, if done like Slow Horses, with each book as a series/season.
