And she’s riding along with her older sister, Tiger 131. Isn’t she beautiful?

And yes, I’ve already built both.

Indeed. Though they are beautiful vehicles. They had many, many drawbacks. Their armor was almost invincible to most Allied guns. While their 8.8 cm main gun could, and did, kill Allied and Soviet tanks with ease. But they were a nightmare to maintain. Their powertrain was inadequate for their size, leading to frequent breakdowns.

I follow their channel on YouTube. Their collection is amazing. And they’re very meticulous when restoring tanks to do them as accurately as possible to their original state. Visiting The Tank Museum is definitely on my bucket list.

From your video:

quote:

The German army killed in Europe between June of 1944 and May of 1945 1.7 American soldiers for every German that was killed....

That is what typically happens when you are an attacking force fighting against an entrenched foe. In military science, it has long been the maxim that there should be TWO attackers for every ONE defender for that very reason. As a fighting force, I feel the Wehrmacht of the Second World War is vastly overrated.

The German army of 1914 was better than the German army of 1941.

The Imperial German Army was arguably the best army of the modern era.

bullshite, the Nazis were pretty much done after Stalingrad and still put up that fight. I agree with the guy that actually knows history.

I went to Tankfest in 2023. I was impressed with the fact they had a Tiger I. If I had known they had a Tiger II I would have waited until 2025. They didn't say anything about the Tiger II project when I was there.

If by putting up a fight you mean: they steadily retreated with no chance of victory until their ultimate collapse in 1945? Then I agree. The German High Command knew the war was lost when they were stopped outside of Moscow in 1941. The only reason why the war lasted until 1945 is because of Hitler.

When you actually study what the Imperial Germany Army did in the First World War, it is far more impressive than what the Wehrmacht did in the Second World War. After they conquered France in 1940, there was only one major power fighting them on the continent of Europe until the Normandy landings in 1944 and that was the Soviet Union.

The Germans in the First World War had to contend with the following countries on the continent of Europe from 1914-1918: France, Britain, Russia, Italy, Romania, Greece, Serbia, and the United States. They held their own against all of these countries while propping up Austria-Hungary and the Ottoman Empire for much of the conflict.

1 Tiger cost 25 T-34's (more or less)

25 guns firing and 1 target > 1 gun firing at 25 targets.

1 bear vs 1 rat, bear wins

1 bear vs 1,000 rats. rats win
