First of all I'm a big Marvel fan. But this shite is unwatchable. I'm not racist by any means. But jeez. The only white guy in the movie was the one expelling her out of school. It's almost like Disney just wants to be woke and not make money

They will make money whether they are “woke” or not. I have Disney stock so I pay attention to their quarterly earnings and revenue was up as usual. I think the only area they lost money was sports but that’s because ESPN is trash.

Well, it's been a decade or three of one side accusing the other side of racism for every transgression, real or imagined. Some people still feel the need to defend themselves preemptively.

Just think how often you post something, SA, that catches a little whiff of that on certain boards if that poster is unfamiliar with you.
It goes all the way back to the hippie 60s but didn't really accelerate until the 90s and political correctness. The 2010s through 2020 set back relations 50 years, IMHO.

Saying "I'm not racist" only plays into the stereotypes that anyone who has less than fully supportive things about a 'diverse' cast of almost exclusively black characters must actually be the worst type of racist.
It's a grift and intimidation to bend the knee and it's not at all a new game that's being played.

Watched the first 3 episodes.
It's not that bad. The first episode drags, but each episode gets a little better.
A few callbacks (Dean from MIT, a bad guy from iron man)
I'll still watch to see where they go with The Hood. Could lead to some demonic storyline or end up messing with Kingpen.

I came here to say the same thing. It gets better after the first episode. I agree the main girl acts like crap but the rest of the cast is decent. I like the easter eggs being shown, iron man 1 main villain, Mephisto. I can see this directly connecting with F4 and Doomsday

We like it so far. Acknowledging the obvious woke tropes as gang characters, the Riri good girl gone bad story line is interesting. I like Natalie as the suit AI/Riri's conscience. I agree with you on seeing where The Hood goes. Marvel has done much worse with shows than this one.
