A slightly different perspective on the ejection of Kevin Schnall.

LS Shooo, LS Shooo, LS Shooo...

P.S. Just having a little fun sharing thoughts with fellow Tiger fans. Not intended for commercial gain. Enjoy.

frick that tool bag. He’d do himself a favor if he took some notes from the coach in the opposing dugout.

The moment was too big for them. They showed their arse. We are so far ahead of them that they dont deserve any further discussion.

His dumbass admitted that he took offense at being shooed away.

He got ejected so he couldn’t take any criticism for getting their shite pushed in. He knew exactly what he was doing

Jay knew the rule and he didn't. Thats possibly the difference in a championship. Not sure if schnall was possibly coaching from the doghouse after the ejection but it definitely is interesting that Curiel was able to hit against Morrison with a free base and put us up 4 runs with that hit.

Not really. You are loading the bases for Frey to bat? He torched a few balls previously.

The idea is that Curiel is a lefty who hits righties well so the hypothetical is citing the platoon advantage. But I agree it probably wouldn’t have mattered. Frey’s previous at bat was a 114 mph piss missile that one hopped off the wall and had their left fielder on skates

Good article. I think you’re right about the vulnerable narcissist explanation.

Yea the umpire might fit that description as well, but a good head coach avoids getting in a pissing match in such a situation.

Because we are fans still basking in the aftermath of our school’s championship. Reliving every moment and savoring it for all eternity is part of the deal

And he should have. When the umpire gives the bench a warning he owes the head coach an explanation of why not just say get back in the dugout. The umpire refused to give him a reason and escalated it to an ejection.

While I don’t think this is true, I heard someone say they believed he was willing to get ejected on purpose to 1) hype the team up and 2) not get the blame for the inevitable loss.

Either way, he acted like an arse on the biggest stage and hurt his team in the process.

1.) it was the first inning of an elimination game tied 0-0
2.) They had their ace on the mound who hadn’t lost a decision all year

None of those “theories” make any sense in context

This is the 1st time I’ve seen someone suggest this. I thought this was going on during the game when the pitch com wasn’t working. I don’t think Schnall called pitches, but it was quite interesting that their pitch com was working working in the 1st inning, but it seemed to have trouble after that. Maybe like there was a lot of concrete & steel that was causing interference.

A power right-handed pull hitter with left field being the only place for HRs. Plus, do you want to load the bases for a pitcher who showed command problems in that inning?
