Senator Thom Tillis (RINO-NC) is willing to jeopardize President Trump’s agenda and his own political career in the process.

As TGP readers may know, the Senate is scheduled to vote on a motion to proceed to President Trump’s big, beautiful bill later this afternoon. The legislation accomplishes several critical policies, including making the Trump tax cuts permanent, eliminating taxation on tips and overtime, locking down the border, and taking an axe to Joe Biden’s green energy scam.

However, there are some questions regarding whether the vote will succeed at this point. One key GOP holdout, Senator Ron Johnson of Wisconsin, has said he will vote no.

Rand Paul is also very likely a no unless the Senate removes the debt ceiling increase from the bill.

Now, Tillis has knifed Trump in the back. He told Fox News a few minutes ago he will vote no on the motion to proceed.

“I respect their choice,” he said. “It’s not a good impact in my state, so I’m not going to vote on the motion to proceed.”

Tillis is also a no on final passage as well.

The GOP holds a 53-47 majority in the Senate. With Johnson, Paul, and Tillis now all nays, the bill’s motion to proceed will fail should one more Republican come out against it.

All eyes now turn to Lisa Murkowski of Alaska and Susan Collins of Maine, the two most liberal RINOs, to save the day for Republicans.

While Collins is reportedly a yes, Murkowski’s position remains unclear.

There are legitimate reasons to dislike this bill, it is not just the people you call RINOs being assholes.

I plan to do my part to get rid of Tillis no matter how he votes. He is gone in 2026.

No, no there aren’t. For Republicans to vote against the most popular Republican President’s legislation in his first 6-months in office is unconscionable. The people gave President Trump a resounding mandate to govern and now these RINOs want to grandstand. Failure to pass this Bill would be a disaster for the entire Party.

Cassidy is still deluding himself into thinking he can be re-elected. He’s trying not to rock the boat right now so he can’t grand stand.

If the bill fails, taxes would go up the largest single increase in the history of the nation

That is not “conservative”

With deficit spending, you pay the tax via inflation.
