Not seeing many reports. Looks like the wind has died down a little. What’s going on?

Fished today, calm early then storms kicked up wind in middle of day. Had 18 keeper trout, caught about 40 total, 3 guys. Beach in morning, bay in afternoon.

If you're open to suggestions the bar at Grand Isle Marina opens at 10:30. Drink bushwhackers until you become ungovernable, then maybe go put out some crab lines and let me know if they running yet.

That’s great. Mind giving an area of the bay?

Fished the back bay at the kayak launch. My nephew and I only caught 3-4 keeper trout each. I am thinking water might be getting too hot for trout in that shallow water. Maybe time to hit the beaches and surf fish. Conditions were perfect today.

That’s definitely the case
That area is really good late April early May though

Damn, that’s crazy with today’s conditions. Been there
Someone said earlier they caught somewhere in the bay, but that’s a very big bay.

Yeah caught 24 at the barges yesterday, today was a donut, May try further north in the bay although normally I’m more outside at this time of year.

Yeah, the problem I always have with running to Fourchon is if you don’t catch, you’re a long way back then anything in the bay.

The wind has died down a lot. We are finally in our summer pattern of S or SE winds and pop up showers. Trout bite is on. Live bait or artificial, take your pick.

Same for us, hit barges, belle pass, Calumet, timbalier area yesterday for 40 throwback trout. Caught 20 keepers in the afternoon in Barataria.

Well I’m back this morning to be humbled a little. Yesterday it was 2 man limit at 6:56am. Today we fished until 10 and only caught 15.
Wind picked up a little, didn’t seem like the bait was as active idk. Still better than work!

That’s why they call it fishing and not catching

We all been there.

Went north this morning. Bunch of shorts at first stop. 4 keepers at second stop. Nothing since.

That’s the kind of news. I normally get right when I’m getting to the island.
