Looking for an inexpensive oral surgeon in the Prairieville area. Don’t have dental insurance but need one pulled. Any idea how much this is going to cost me? Thanks

Unfortunately, that's probably not all you actually need. If you lived in Houston, I know a few honest dentists. Since you're paying cash, I would try to avoid old dentists, and any dentists that take Medicare. The latter is too used to gaming the system to get payouts, and the former will tend to ignore modern techniques which may be less invasive, or cause fewer recovery problems, in lieu of what they learned in the 80s.

Why don't you just go see Matt Randall. He is not an oral surgeon but he is good at pulling teeth and I think he is in Prairieville.

Look for a place that provides a group of dentists in training/interns and you can get that pulled for bout $150 or so. We have a place here locally (Birmingham area) that serves homeless and folks in drug rehab and they won’t take any insurance claims. They take anyone, including walk ins.

You want "Micky" he lives on O-Neal underpass.
He has a good set of pliers and can do it for you for $50.

Why do you think you need a tooth pulled? Or rather, did a dentist tell you you needed a tooth pulled, and if they were unable to pull it themselves, did they not recommend an oral surgeon they trusted?

Get a Care Credit card and like the other poster mentioned, find a younger dentist.
If abcessed, they will give antibiotic round to take before you can actually get it pulled.
I went through the same thing a few years ago.

The last time I went to a dentist was Jan of last year. I wasn’t concerned about myself because I was taking care of my invalid wife at the time. Back in Jan they suggested I have 1 pulled and 2 others “worked” on. I am taking bone strengthening meds because I have stage 4 mestatic prostrate cancer.

I would recommend the School of Denistry in New Orleans.

Yep my dentist recommended an oral surgeon, and everything went great.
Full anesthesia and didn’t feel a thing.
