What is the logic behind this deportation? What is the purpose?

Iranian immigrant who has lived in New Orleans nearly 50 years arrested outside Lakeview home
An Iranian woman who has lived in the United States for 47 years and has no criminal record was detained by federal agents Sunday morning as she gardened outside her Lakeview home.
Mandonna "Donna" Kashanian, 64, was handcuffed and placed in the back of a pickup truck by agents who arrived in three unmarked vehicles, a witness said. She was transported to Hancock County, Mississippi, where she spent a night in the local jail before being moved to the South Louisiana ICE Processing Center in Basile.
Kashanian came to the United States in 1978 on a student visa and eventually applied for asylum, but her claim was denied. Federal officials granted her a reprieve to stay in the country provided she follow the law and appear at regular immigration appointments. Family members say Kashanian never missed one of those appointments and has never been accused of a crime.
quote:
Kashanian was 17 when came to the United States, her husband said. When her student visa expired several years later, she applied for asylum. Her father had worked in Tehran as an engineer for the U.S.-backed Shah, whose regime toppled in 1979, and Kashanian feared retribution if she returned, her husband said.
While her asylum application wound its way through the courts, Kashanian built a life in New Orleans. She tended bar in the French Quarter, where she met Milne, who managed a restaurant where Kashanian would kill time after shifts. The two married in 1988.
Kashanian's application was rejected by the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals over a decade later, but federal authorities granted her a "stay of removal" — an administrative reprieve handed out at immigration officials' discretion under which they agree not to deport someone provided they appear as ordered for immigration check-ins.
quote:
"She’s always worked, she’s had a driver’s license, she has a social security card, she’s paid taxes," Milne said. "She’s about to qualify for Medicare. She’s been a contribution to the community for her whole life."
quote:
Rather than a legally binding order, the administrative measure Kashanian was living under is imposed at ICE's discretion. Trump's administration is revoking many of them.
"Those cases are low-hanging fruit as they seek to meet Trump's quotas," he said.

Pretty simple, really.
She isn’t here legally and she must return to her home. This is not her home and she broke our laws to be here.
“No one is above the law.” Remember?
I don’t see what is so difficult to understand.

Hmmmmm.... this is a tough one!!!
A person here illegally is being deported.
Hmmmmm.... man, this is a really complicated issue to understand.
If you have a problem with it, look to the source of this nation's immigration crisis, Biden.
He created this huge immigration shite show.
Trump is dealing with it.
If you don't like it, vote harder next time.

Was she deported?
Sounds like this is why she was detained
Kashanian's application was rejected by the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals over a decade later, but federal authorities granted her a "stay of removal" — an administrative reprieve handed out at immigration officials' discretion under which they agree not to deport someone provided they appear as ordered for immigration check-ins.
It's the government what do you expect? I'd rather them make this oopsie than an oopsie that let people fly planes into towers.
Was she deported? I didn't see anything about deportation in that just that she was detained. I have zero problems with this and them confirming. I'd certainly be curious why she was denied by the courts. That's more telling than anything else.

Her asylum claim was denied and she is still here. She got to hang around at ICE’s discretion but looks like they changed their mind.

She should have been deported back when her asylum claim was bunk.
Better late than never.

What is frustrating about you as a poster is that you have an ok IQ. But you THINK you have a high IQ.

Is she or is she not a legal citizen of the United States? Yes or no? Let’s start there. The media has picked this case out perfectly to tug at the heartstrings of liberal men & all women everywhere & attempt to make the Trump administration look bad.

How does an illegal alien have a driver’s license, and a social security card?

She was given her due process (which took way to long). Now it is time for her to leave.
Go try what she did in another country and let it know how it goes for you.

Biden didn't order her deportation.

In other words, there is no logic behind this deportation but oh well? That's an actual human. She is being sent to some foreign land after almost 50 years and this is your response.

What fi she was wanted for murder. Would u want her arrested?
What if she evaded 1M in taxes thru fraud, would you want her made to pay?
She broke several federal laws and evaded authorities..what would like done to her? You want federal authorities to ignore their sworn duties?
