Now I'm The A-Hole - Door to Door Salesperson

Today at 8 am, girl knocks on the door with some Southwestern Advantage shirt/badge, I see her on camera and decide to ignore her so she will leave. Kids asleep dog barking, I'm working from home.
She knocks again "loud" (2), then rings the doorbell, 2-3 minutes she knocks again "loud" (3).
The third time set me off, I opened the door and chewed her arse out, told her I didn't give two F$%Ks what she wanted or was selling you don't knock on someone's door three times at freaking 8am.

This is too much and I would also react poorly. I give door to doors two nos before I get ugly, after that they are wasting my time.

Does your camera have the speaker/microphone function?
bc all of this could've been easily avoided if you'd just responded with a "thank you, but I'm not interested" when you first saw her on camera.
that being said- ole gal knocking 3 times and ringing the bell is too much for 8am.

In 2025, unless you’re a neighbor, family member/friend, or delivery person, there’s no reason for you to be knocking on my door

I know someone who has been with Edward Jones for about 5-10yrs. When he was going through his training, he had to go door to door. They use it as a weed out procedure for those who don't really want to jump through all the hoops for the job. Not sure if this is still a requirement.

I always answer my door with my gun in hand, using it as a pointer!

Three times with hard knocking at 8:00am on a summer morning when kids are home is ridiculous. I'm in sales and I can guarantee she hates doing door-to-door sales (or any sales for that matter), but I would've chewed her arse out too. You had every right.
