DAT 6/24: Phillies (Suarez) @ Astros (Framber) 7:10 PM

Take 2 of 3 from the Angels even with that lineup Sunday?
Five up in the division and only 3.5 back of the best record in the AL?
Cam, Peña, and HB being absolute dogs?
Crane and Bagwell inviting the brain trust to decide which over the hill free agent to sign next:
The DAT’s reaction to said free agent signing:
Rematch of the 2022 World Series, is everyone ready?

Tuesday is a good day to administer a proper Frambering

Week in review:
- MLB best 14-6 record in June
- MLB best 2.75ERA with 204Ks
- Weekly record of 4-3
- A's walked us off twice - once in the 9th and once in the 10th
- Dubon had his best week of the season and maybe his career? .375BA 4HR 5RBI
- Astros are now 5-2 coming off of a 10-run game
- 4-2 in extra inning games this season
- Framber last 8 starts: 7-0 55IP 62K 2.13ERA
- Hunter Brown last 8 starts: 5-1 46.3IP 60K 2.14ERA
- Jake "Jwho Jr" Meyers is hitting .357 in June with a 10-game hitting streak
- Chandler if you're reading this, you're still a bitch
Injury updates:
- Yordan: n/a probably getting an amputation
- Spaghetti: bullpen session is planned for today
- Javier: threw a 20-pitch bullpen and touched 95mph
- Luis Garcia: reportedly expected to throw to live batters this week
- Dezenzo: Dana says he is "pain-free" but has not swung a bat
- Chas: n/a
- Melton: No change. sprained ankle. Out at least 4 weeks
Roster moves:
- Jon "fatfrick" Singleton has made his way back to Houston on a minor league deal. Genuinely, I have never disliked an Astro more than him
- Taylor Trammell activated from IL
- Shay Whitcomb called up and then sent back down
Looking ahead:
3 vs Phillies
3 vs Cubs

ESPN says we're in the market for a SP and the Red Sox and Diamondbacks will be the big sellers.

The Orioles also. What does Ryan Ohearn's contract look like? He splits between 1B and RF. Could be the LH bat we need?

Please accept Shay Whitcomb, Jacob Meltons bum knee and this bag of sea shells collected from Crystal Beach. Best we can do.

And now, it's your old pal Casey Kasem, back with you and reaching out across the miles with a very special long-distance dedication. This one comes from Dale in SA, who writes to us with a heavy heart but a hopeful spirit. Here’s what Dale had to say:
"Dear Casey,
I’m sending this dedication to my dear friend Shay, who’s been going through a really tough time at his job. Shay is one of the hardest-working people in baseball, always giving his all, but lately, he’s been underappreciated and mistreated by those around him. It’s been hard to watch someone so kind and talented be overlooked like this. I want Shay to know that his worth isn’t defined by how others treat him, but by the incredible person he is. I’m dedicating this song to lift his spirits and remind him that better days are coming. From your friend, Dale."
Well, Dale, your words hit home, and I know Shay’s listening out there, feeling the love you’re sending his way. Shay, this one’s for you—a song about resilience, hope, and knowing your value, no matter what the world throws at you. Here’s Lean on Me by Bill Withers, going out from Dale to Shay, on this long-distance dedication.
Keep your feet on the ground, Shay, and keep reaching for the stars...

Zac Gallen and Merrill Kelly are both free agents next year. Just in a tough spot with few bigger name prospects to get a deal done. The FO has my blind trust in regards to anything pitching related anyway.
Really looking forward to the games this week against good teams.

What if Dalen SA has actually been Dale n SA this whole time? The world as i knew it has changed.

Some guy named Dale mails a radio station, and everybody's got to jump to conclusions. I'm sure DalenSA has never even met a baseball player named Shay.
