Simons instant offense they get off Jrues deal get 2 2nd rounders in the process.
Seem like a good deal for the Cs and I'm sure Portland would move off of Jrue again at some point.

Simons is due an extension and whatever he signs for, won’t be worth the money. Probably a rental + see if he’ll sign for something reasonable in Boston. If not they get cap relief with his contract off the books.

Boston , Cleveland, and Phoenix are above the 2nd apron for 2025/ 2026 season.
All three will probably be looking to shed salary.

I like the deal for Boston. They get out of Jrue's horrible contract (had three years left at over $30M, not great for a 35 year old aging guard) and get a one-year rental with Anfernee Simons (his contract expires after next year) that could be a nice piece for a playoff push next season
