Does he come back? Does he have any eligibility left?

I’m going to say he’s gone just because he’s a pitcher

He has eligibility left, he was draft eligible last year, so he's already passed it up once.
I personally feel like he will be back, because what he would be offered by pro ball won't meaningfully change between this year and next year. And age for pitchers is less of a big deal than age for hitters.

From what I've heard his NIL payday may have him coming back in lieu of pro ball.

he has eligibility, and he's not on any top 200 prospect lists that I'm aware of. i would think it's within the realm of possibility that he comes back

This would be huge. He could be the Sunday guy for sure.

Would be an ideal Sunday guy and let Jay keep one more power arm in the bullpen.
He's the baseball equivalent of these college QB's coming back for their senior years. He's never going to have the measurables to go high in the draft so why not get some NIL money and play one more year?

He is a good college pitcher that scouts probably won't project well in pro ball. I could be wrong but in my speculation, he will do better getting NIL and more education to use after baseball.

Yea if he continues to work on that slider, he could be an absolute stud for us next year
