This late in the cycle and Josh not taking the Duke job it is very likely we will have another year of consistency at the coaching positions.

This is huge!

Josh Jordan is likely the only coach to leave in the next 2 years.

I think Yeskie will stay here as long as Jay will keep him. I don’t think he wants a HC job.

Chief isn’t going anywhere.
Tutko could end up somewhere but I don’t see him wanting that.
Josh Simpson could go somewhere in the future. May be a few years away.

Jay is liable to coach into his 70s. Being only 48.

I do expect Jay to have to replace assistants sort of like Saban used to, but with the reputation Jay and the program has it shouldn’t be hard to find the next one.

Jay has a Process like Saban, whoever the next assistant is will have to follow the Process.

I saw somewhere that Josh Jordan could be considered for Duke, but admittedly I haven’t followed their coaching search. SIAP.

According to Kendall, Duke didn't want to pay top dollar or match ex-HC's salary, which is why they ended up with WF pitching coach. Them being cheap probably saved us from losing Jordan.

Next opening get the LSU Shreveport coach down here to groom for a couple of years under Jay and he will have some great opportunities for big time jobs.. He appers to be an outstanding recruiter and let him learn the Process and he will be ready. He won't get the same seasoning in Shreveport as impressive as his accompishments have been.

Keeping Jordan for one or 2 more years is huge.

Jordan does a great job with the catchers, both Hernandez and Arrambide made huge strides defensively over course of season especially with the velo and the spin from Eyanson and Anderson that they had to adapt to

Yeskie is the key guy because Jay is pretty much hands off with coaching the pitching, maybe he's grooming Tutko to take over if Yeskie should ever leave but having continuity on that side is key

The way Yeskie hugged Jay after the last out, made me feel better about him being lured elsewhere.

Jordan should probably wait on a SEC job to open:
like an Ole Miss or aggies and cocks might both be looking after next season

It made a lot to sense for Jordan to take the Duke job. I also thought it was a forgone conclusion. LSU benefits greatly from his not getting/taking that job

Making it to CWS championship hurt Jordan. Really not fair to assistants opening the transfer portal during the tourney. Teams can’t afford to miss portal.

Meh. Wes Johnson was announced as the Georgia hire during our regionals in 2023.
