Jurassic World Dominion is such a garbage movie

Tried rewatching it ahead of the new installment, and I made it about an hour when I couldn’t take it anymore
it just makes me more pissed off that it’s so bad, especially when they brought back the original cast…to have them investigate locusts?

The only thing that Fallen Kingdom has over Dominion is the mansion scenes that almost reach horror status.
Outside of that, they are both horrendous.

I'll also give it to FK for not being a massive rug pull. Leading up to Dominion all the marketing focused on dinosaurs causing a mess around the world instead we get 1 minute of news coverage and locusts
I did also like the scene of them leaving the island watching it get destroyed by the volcano and see the original brachiosaurus from the first movie disappear behind volcanic ash. Sad as hell but still a great scene

I got a tear from that scene like a lil bitch.
I like fallen kingdom personally, I thought the mansion was the weakest part of the movie

The looney toons scene involving the one guy trying to steal a tooth from the hybrid really annoyed the shite out of me. But the little girl just randomly reading all the dinosaurs into the wild because they're just like her really just ruined a lot of the movie for me.
Not to mention the ending of that movie makes me hate Dominion even more because we don't show the consequences of the girl being an idiot

When I say “mansion scene”, I am referencing the very, very short segment where the dinosaur is trying to kill them and there is a brief moment of almost horror vibes.
Everything else was retarded.
She is actually the villain.

This might be the first time we’ve agreed on something
As someone who can generally turn his brain off for dumb action movies I am still flummoxed by the environments in Dominion. Desert to ice to a lake to a jungle
And I like Chris Pratt but if I ever see him do the dumb Dino kung fu stand off palm pose again I’m gonna lose it

Part of the reason it just took me out of the movie. He was WAY overusing that in Dominion and even tried using it on the Carnotaurus(?) at the Dino market.
I even saw a still image of him, Grant and the girl using “the Dino force” all at the same time, I guess from the end of the movie.
Like what? It makes sense with Blue because he trained her from a baby. No freaking carnotaurus is going to pay attention to that.
It totally kills the stakes in any scene if he can stop them from charging with the Dino force

Dominion in the one where the dinos are being sold off at market like some Star Wars movie. And they first insert the black lady pilot halfway through the movie and make sure she’s in key scenes with Pratt and the big bad for reasons

Jurassic Park III is the most underated in the series and def better than Lost World. The Spinosaurus is a great villain and was genuinly scary at times.

There is literally no reason to watch any of these films other than the original (and certainly not rewatch).

Its time to hang it up. I stopped watching them after III. Its a been there done that type of movie. Just like Jaws. Although I saw Jaws 3D in the movies as a kid and thought it was awesome.
