While the coach is a douche, I do like that the small schools have a chance in baseball.

They have no choice. If they could buy players they would. That said players progress under Jay Johnson and pretty rapidly.

Our Ace who shutout Coastal Carolina yesterday grew up an hour away from Baton Rouge. Came here as true freshman, developed into the #1 overall pick. Our #3 SP, true freshman who will develop here.
Curiel, Frey, Jones, Milam, and Brown, 5 of our top 6 hitters more than likely, all came to LSU as true Freshman and have developed here. What a silly arse tweet. People just want to try and take away from us, because we are the Yankees of College Baseball. Who gives a shite if we dip into the portal for a few dudes every year? So does every other top tier team.

I understand the point that they are trying to make, but Schnall and Coastal are developing a reputation of teaching and utilizing cheap tactics.
Look at the HBP count this year. They were taught to cover it well, but they draw intentional hits constantly.
And the Ace Morrison was acting really odd about the 3B coach. He really didn't like the fact that JJ was watching him so closely.

Wild they potentially could have had Liam Doyle as well had he not transferred after his freshman season. Would have been quite a rotation for a SBC school.
