That would be my biggest concern.

If Iran doesn’t surrender, my guess is they’re banking on a wider conflict with multiple countries joining in.

Dude, Iran is done. They've actually been done. What happened made them even more impotent.

They’ve hit israel with a few hypersonics already.

Carriers are very susceptible to them in theory.

Can they effectively strike a carrier group? Maybe.

If they sink a carrier they guarantee regime change because even the skeptics such as myself would have to accept a widening of the war at that point despite our anger at how we got there.

Same would go for terror attacks on US domestic sites.

If you hit a mall or stadium the gloves come off.

I expect limited missile strikes on US bases in the Middle East.

If Iran bombed a carrier they would be a pile of ruble within 48 hours

They have a few, their targeting is pretty arse though. No way they could hit a moving target like the Nimitz. Iran's biggest problem right now isn't even their missile inventory, its the lack of launchers to fire them

Israel has been gutting their missile launchers every night the past week, its why Iran is shooting less and less in each volley. They havent even fired at Israel in over 24 hours

They’ve been sending their ballistic missiles in large numbers to exhaust the missile defenses with the hypersonics in tow.

No they haven't.

They have missiles that briefly may go hypersonic but that's not a "hypersonic missile" as used to describe the real deal.

If I'm any country that was thinking about joining with Iran to go to war with the US, Id be thinking twice about it now.

There have been numerous successful strikes in Tel Aviv and Haifa from their Fattah-1 hypersonic ballistic missiles (including the hit on the Bursa).

Their Fattah-1 travels at mach 11 and impacts at mach 5.

Reach and hit are two different things.

They can reach. But it’s about as accurate as a storm trooper when it comes to a moving target whose location isn’t 100% known.

And yeah they have hypersonics. No idea if they can launch anything like that right now though. They did send a few to Isreal a few nights ago.
