Gator and Croc battle in Florida

Lived in central Florida when I was in my early teens. Back then we swam in lakes with no fear because trappers would take any large gators for their hides.

This is an extremely rare event and to have some random tourist with a phone in a parking area (presumably in Everglades N.P.) record it is very unusual. Having said that, I’d bet that that gator and that cayman are there because tourists have been doing stupid shite like feeding them.

Seems the stupid Gator could have Whipped his TAIL across Crocs Jaw

Battles in the quad aren’t even that brutal.

Someone said look at all the blood and I still can see one drop of blood throughout the entire video

(Fun fact: South Florida is the onliest place on the planet that crocs & alligator's natural habitats overlap)

Man, that's a lot of Sauce Piquant on the hoof there. All one needs is a .22 and enough nerve to get off the kill shot----------------and get out of there before the law arrives.
Damn people and their cellphones ruin an opportunity for a freezer full of meat.

The gator is the shorter one right? At one point looked like it had bitten down on the croc’s closed mouth and probably could’ve won the fight right there. But reptiles barely have enough brain power to function at all, let alone plan an attack.

On one of my snake trips there earlier this year, I was photographing the 2nd largest croc in the park. I spoke to one of the workers and she said a couple weeks earlier, it was chasing everything out of its territory because it was mating time. She said it chased one of the gators or other crocs (I don’t recall which) all the way across the parking lot.
Last year I pulled into the marina parking lot just minutes after they had life-flighted a guy out due to a croc attack.

The crocs get bigger and are meaner than the gators right ?

Can a croc mate with a gator? If it’s possible, does it ever happen in nature?
If humans were that similar to some other species you know we’d be frickin.

They can’t produce viable off spring, but who knows….they might give it a whirl every now and then. Florida IS close to Alabama.

You gotta go for the quarter-sized kill spot!
